Once the diffuser sticks are saturated, the cells in the reeds eventually get clogged and lose their ability to draw the scent up into the reeds and emit the fragrance into the room. Needless to say, you definitely can’t move the reeds to a different scent of oil as the cells will contain the fragrance of the previous diffuser oil. You won’t get a pure scent transfer.
